I have created a petition to have a National Children’s Day on 8th May Every Year in the UK.
The Brief
I would like the government to give this day to the children of the UK in Remembrance of VE Day and the veterans who also gave their lives so our children can have a future. This day should be funded by the government and made compulsory in every city across our land.
It will be a patriotic day celebrating the United Kingdom. Children should be issued t-shirts with the Union Flag printed on them. They should be given Union Flags to wave as they go by. There should be festivities such as those on VE Day, but also special events for the children where they can eat red, white and blue ice cream or union flag cupcakes whilst listening to DJS playing fun and party songs. There should be shows and videos memorialising the VE Day events. It will be a day to remember
